Boeing is celebrating a major milestone in the 787 program: The aircraft manufacturer has begun assembly of its 787th Boeing 787. Airliner Watch is reporting that Boeing has begun final assembly of the -9 variant in Charleston, South Carolina.The Boeing 787-9 will be delivered to China Southern Airlines in a matter of months as it makes its way through the final assembly line. The Marriott Bonvoy Rewards program isn’t always the easiest loyalty program to navigate. In 2017, Marriott harshened their cancellation policy by mandating customers cancel their reservations within at least 48 hours of the scheduled reservation to avoid a penalty fee. The difficult aspect about the cancellation policy is that while all hotels and resorts have this minimum cancellation timeframe, there is no time for how far out a reservation may need to be cancelled to be refunded....

Qatar Airways introduced their new Qsuite business class product last year, and it quickly became apparent that this is the best business class seat in the world. When TPG Editor-at-Large Zach Honig reviewed it onboard a Boeing 777-300ER, he was blown away by the high tech suite and incredible attention to detail. Qatar eventually hopes to retrofit most of its long-haul fleet with these next generation suites, but for now the only planes that feature them are Airbus A350-1000s and select Boeing 777 aircraft....

The Joint Authorities Technical Review (JATR) panel set up by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to assess the Boeing 737 MAX certification is ready to begin its work, the FAA announced in a statement last week.Starting on Monday, the JATR will bring together experts from the FAA and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as international experts to review the automated flight systems that may be implicated in two recent 737 MAX plane crashes in Ethiopia and Indonesia, which killed 346 people....
