Now we know when to expect the latest addition to the chain’s credit card portfolio, the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card, as well.Amex’s new Luxury Card will be available for new sign-ups beginning on August 23, just three days ahead of new restrictions that will limit your ability to collect a new member bonus if you’ve recently had similar products from Chase. While it’s not clear what the Luxury Card’s sign-up offer will be just yet, based on the new restriction date of August 26, you should have a small window of eligibility despite the upcoming limitations, as outlined in this post.In the meantime, you might also want to take advantage of the elevated bonuses currently available with Amex’s other two co-branded cards. Additionally, from now until October 31, 2018, the Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express is offering a limited-time bonus of 100,000 points after spending $5,000 on the card within the first 3 months. As a reminder, the Luxury Card will carry a $450 annual fee, but comes along with the following benefits:$300 in statement credits for purchases at participating Marriott hotels each cardmember year$100 Global Entry or $85 TSA PreCheck fee creditPriority Pass Select membership (including two guests)Annual free night award (up to 50,000 points) after card renewalAutomatic Gold status and the ability to earn Platinum after spending $75k in a calendar yearBoingo Wi-Fi access15 elite night credits beginning in 2019 (limited to once per member per year, not once per card)You’ll also earn 6x points at participating Marriott hotels, 3x points at US restaurants and on flights booked directly with airlines, and 2x points on all other purchases.Sign up for our daily newsletterEmail addressSign upI would like to subscribe to The Points Guy newsletters and special email promotions.
