Called the Centurion Suite, Amex says the space is inspired by the company’s airport lounges, and offers similar amenities on a smaller scale — like what you’ll find at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Staples Center in Los Angeles.US Open visitors can expect free snacks and one alcoholic beverage per visit, including beer, wine or a cocktail. There will also be photo opportunities, flat-screen TVs, phone charging stations and free Wi-Fi, in addition to onsite restrooms. The suite will be open from 12:00pm until 8:00pm from Aug. 27 through Sept. 5 and from 12:00pm until 5:00pm from Sept. 6 through Sept. 9.While we don’t have any pictures to share just yet, I’m imagining a space similar to Amex’s existing Center Court Club, which is an entirely separate entity with ticketed entry at Arthur Ashe.Amex also sponsors the Center Court Club, but tickets are required for entry. As with the regular Centurion Lounges, access is restricted to customers with The Platinum Card® from American Express or the Centurion Card. Platinum cardmembers can bring two guests, while those with a Centurion card can bring two guests or their immediate family, subject to capacity restrictions. All Amex cardholders can access a special Member Club, located on the second floor of the Amex Fan Experience.Sign up for our daily newsletterEmail addressSign upI would like to subscribe to The Points Guy newsletters and special email promotions. Most consumer and business cards should be compatible, and bands will be available at several locations throughout the US Open grounds.Eligible cardmembers will be able to tap their Amex Band to access the Centurion Suite, in addition to the Amex Member Club. It can be used at concession stands throughout the venue, as well as for merchandise at select retailers. Some cardmembers will also be eligible for an offer to receive $20 back after spending $100+ in one or more onsite transactions.
