View the current offers here.Update 10/14/16: A Chase representative told TPG that the reissue of metal cards for cardholders who previously received plastic won’t be happening until the beginning of November.There’s no doubt that the new Chase Sapphire Reserve is one of the best consumer credit cards to hit the market. From its 100,000-point sign-up bonus, incredible bonus categories and other perks like a $300 travel credit, the card is a no-brainer for any traveler. But, Chase was surprised with just how popular the card was, resulting in a shortage of the metal the card was made out of. As an alternative for the time being, Chase resulted to issuing newly approved cardholders plastic versions of the card. And just about a month after the initial reports of a shortage, Chase has confirmed that the metal cards are back in stock and being shipped to new cardholders.In addition, for new cardholders who were shipped a plastic version upon approval, Chase is automatically sending them metal version. A Chase representative confirmed that it will begin sending metal cards to those who originally received the plastic version in the beginning of November — no need to call and request a replacement.While the plastic version of the card entitled cardholders to all the same benefits as its metal counterpart, many new cardholders were upset to find out that their cards were plastic and not the promised metal. However, some consumers prefer the plastic version over the much heavier and in-your-face metal card, and care more about the card’s valuable perks like 3x points on all travel and dining purchases than the physical card itself.How do you feel about the material of your credit card?
