Hyatt really hasn’t been offering too many promotions lately. From June 1 to September 30, 2015, the chain ran its “Sweet Dream Sweet Rewards” promotion, which rewarded Hyatt Gold Passport members with bonus points based on the number of nights they stayed between the given dates. Since then, there hasn’t been anything in the way of global promotions for Hyatt Gold Passport members in a while. The good news is it looks like the company’s offering a new promotion just in time for the busy summer travel season. “Stay More Play More” will be valid for stays between April 1 and June 30, 2016 and members can earn up to 75,000 bonus points. Sign up by visiting Hyatt.com/StayMorePlayMore — just keep in mind that registration doesn’t officially open until April 1.The Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, a Category 6 property. Here is the cumulative rewards structure for the new promotion:Earn 5,000 bonus points after 5 nightsEarn 15,000 bonus points after 10 nightsEarn 30,000 bonus points after 15 nightsEarn 50,000 bonus points after 20 nightsEarn 75,000 bonus points after 25 nightsOverall, this is a great deal and could possibly be worth going out of your way to stay at a Hyatt property during the time in order to maximize your Hyatt Gold Passport points. If you can take full advantage of the promotion and stay 25 nights at a Hyatt property, there’s a pretty good return on your end — you’ll earn 3,000 bonus points per night. In his most recent valuation, TPG values Hyatt points at 1.8 cents apiece, giving you a return of about $54 per night. In addition, 75,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points are enough to earn you three nights at a Hyatt Category 6 property, which requires 25,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points per night for a free stay. Notable Category 6 properties include the Grand Hyatt New York, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Grand Hyatt Tokyo and the Park Hyatt Vienna, among others. Ultimately, this promotion is a great chance to bank some Hyatt Gold Passport points and score a good value.H/T: One Mile at a TimeSign up for our daily newsletterEmail addressSign upI would like to subscribe to The Points Guy newsletters and special email promotions.
