It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that there aren’t any nonstop flights from CDG to CMB, but there are plenty of very interesting one-stop options, with excellent fares in business class....

Because when you get a chance to fly an airline that has a suave-looking cartoon raccoon as a mascot, you take it. A civil lawsuit has been filed against the Hotel Iberostar Paraiso del Mar resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, as well as US-based travel company Visit Us, which manages bookings for the resort. The family of 20-year-old student Abbey Conner alleges she died after drinking “tainted” alcohol and drowning in the upscale resort’s pool.The 24-page lawsuit, which was filed on Wednesday, alleges that both the resort and booking site, “knew that alcoholic beverages being served at the Hotel Iberostar Paraiso del Mar were tainted, substandard, poisonous, unfit for human consumption and/or otherwise failed to meet bare minimum standards for food and beverage safety....

Actress Molly Ringwald thanked Southwest Airlines on Thursday for helping her father after he had a medical emergency on an Austin-bound flight. Ringwald personally thanked Southwest on Twitter for its “speed and professionalism” and the emergency landing that she claims saved her father’s life.Her father, Robert Scott Ringwald, a known jazz pianist, was on a Southwest flight to Austin (AUS) when he became ill. A doctor aboard was able to treat him and the flight made an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico (ABQ), where he was taken to a local hospital....

On the cusp of peak tourism season on Liberty Island, National Park Service officials have decided to set new restrictions that will limit the high-volume foot traffic that usually accrues at one of New York City’s most famous attractions.The Statue of Liberty, according to CNN, has seen a 600% increase in tourism within the last decade. To prevent overcrowding, officials have decided to ban commercial private tours of the statue. While only about 4% of travelers use these types of tours, the large groups often cause blockage in the statue’s interior by obstructing pathways and exhibits....
