JetBlue is bringing a taste of New York pizza to the West Coast with its Pie in the Sky promotion— a limited-edition cross-country pizza delivery service. Between May 9th to May 11, Jetblue will be delivering classic NYC pizza pies to Los Angeles.JetBlue will be flying and delivering pizza from Patsy’s Pizzeria in NYC to LA residents in select areas. The Southwest Airlines pilots’ union plans to request compensation from Boeing for lost wages and legal fees caused by the Boeing 737 MAX groundings that began in March, reported CNBC.An unidentified person who CNBC said was familiar with the matter said that Southwest MAX pilots lose $8.5 million per month while the planes sit unused.The Southwest Allied Pilots Association (SWAPA) has issued statements on the MAX groundings in the past, but has mostly focused on passenger and crew safety surrounding the Federal Aviation Administration’s decision to let the planes fly again....

The first United 787 retrofit with Polaris business class entered service Wednesday, when it was scheduled to fly a redeye from San Francisco to Washington Dulles.A check of the United site showed that flight UA1912, scheduled to leave SFO at 11pm and arrive at IAD Thursday morning at 6:47, was operated by the first United 787-8 refurbished with the new all-aisle-access Polaris. But that flight went awry when a malfunction forced the plane to return to San Francisco shortly after takeoff....

Early during the pandemic, U.S. airlines quickly moved to scale back their inflight service offerings. Willie Walsh announced on Thursday that he will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of International Airlines Group (IAG) — one of the largest airline groups in the world and the owner of British Airways and Aer Lingus, among others. Walsh will step down from his roles on the board and as CEO as of March 26 before fully retiring on June 30.Iberia’s current Chief Executive Officer Luis Gallego will take over Walsh’s role when he retires in June....
