As of summer 2018, the boutique carrier will switch its operations from Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Orly (ORY).As reported by Air Journal, there isn’t an exact date for the switch just yet, but La Compagnie will communicate the date of the switch to customers in the coming weeks....

Seemingly gone are the days of earning free nights are a couple stays or being able to choose between multiple different lucrative options for your own tailored promotion.In keeping with this trend, Starwood just announced their Take Two promotion, which offers double Starpoints on eligible stays and 2,500 bonus Starpoints for every five eligible nights— up to 10,000 bonus Starpoints (20 nights)....

It was all about going for the gold at Saturday’s “Gold Meets Golden” charity event, sponsored by TPG. Qatar Airways is amending an order for 50 Airbus A321neo jets to swap in 10 of the long-range models as a diplomatic feud in the region, a so-called “blockade,” wears on.The blockade began in June 2017 when neighboring countries Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain severed diplomatic relations with Qatar and essentially boycotted any involvement with the nation. Egypt also joined the bandwagon shortly after.The boycott also means government-owned Qatar Airways has been barred from using any of the blockade nations’ airspace, meaning longer, more circuitous routes for the Doha-based carrier....

Instead, flyers are left with having to purchase some of the carrier’s AAnytime awards, which are almost double what’s required for those at the lower level.
