JetBlue is breaking the traditional mold for airlines once again. This time, it’s not an affordable top-flight premium product that is setting the carrier apart, but rather its new inflight beverage provider: Pepsi.On Friday, the New York-based airline said it would be switching its inflight beverages from the industry-standard Coca-Cola products to Pepsi offerings. While this might seem like a subtle change, it puts JetBlue among only a handful of top airlines that don’t exclusively stock Coca-Cola soft drinks in their beverage carts worldwide....

Investigators have released a preliminary report on Lion Air Flight 610, which crashed in the Java Sea less than 13 minutes after takeoff on Oct. 29 and killed all 189 people on board.No official cause of the crash was listed in the report, but Indonesian investigators focused on an automatic system on the 2-month-old Boeing 737 MAX 8 jet that continually pushed the plane’s nose downward. Officials posed the question in the report whether erroneous information from aircraft sensors activated the automatic system....

Did I make the right decision in picking this card over the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the new Amex Gold that earns double points on dining plus a $100 airline credit?“This past month, American Express enhanced the Premier Rewards Gold card by adding double points on dining (a direct jab at the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, which offers double points on both travel and dining), as well as a $100 airline credit and no foreign transaction fees....

Nobody likes flight delays — unless you manage to score more time at a posh resort or high-end airport lounge, perhaps — but one airline in particular has been doing a top-notch job of curbing some uncertainty, at the very least.With detailed delay notifications, United’s boosting transparency through its flight status page — specifically when it comes to airport operations. As a result, the carrier is able to ease customer concerns a bit, while also eliminating the need for flyers to constantly check in with agents at the gate, freeing them up to rebook flyers, or perhaps even hold the plane for travelers arriving on another delayed flight....

Through Dec. 31, 2019, you can buy the Mosaic-qualifying points needed in order to (re)qualify for Mosaic status through the end of 2020 — either for yourself or as a gift for someone else. And while it could seem like an easy way to get to Mosaic, it might not necessarily be the best deal for you, especially if you have a long way to go....
