American Airlines pilots will soon receive Boeing 737 MAX flight training in a simulator, a report in The Wall Street Journal says.Previously, pilots at American and at other US airlines did not train for the MAX in a simulator. The change at American Airlines represents a significant shift because the carrier repeatedly said its pilots did not need additional simulator training to qualify for the newest version of the 737 if they were already qualified for the earlier 737-800 variant....

Boston’s Logan International Airport has become the latest airport to receive CLEAR, the biometric identity service that helps speed flyers through airport security lines.CLEAR is now up and running at Boston’s Terminal A, home to gates for Delta, Southwest and WestJet.“Delivering a quicker journey through security with CLEAR is another important way in which we’re giving our customers in Boston a superior travel experience from curb to gate,” Ravi Dadhich, Director of Boston Airport Operations for Delta Air Lines, says in a statement via CLEAR....

Financial restitution has been granted to the flight attendant who was attacked in the so-called “nut rage” incident of December 2014.The infamous incident happened four years ago on board a Korean Air flight from New York (JFK) to Seoul (ICN). Heather Cho, one of the daughters of Korean Air’s CEO, threatened, hit and shoved a flight attendant for serving her macadamia nuts in a bag instead of a porcelain bowl. Cho also demanded the flight attendant apologize on his knees for the transgression and that the plane be turned around so the offending flight attendant could be removed from the aircraft....

If you’re flying Delta this weekend, it might be a good idea to plan ahead.Access to Delta SkyMiles accounts will be unavailable for several hours late Saturday night and into the wee hours of Sunday due to planned site maintenance, the carrier said in a statement on its site. SkyMiles accounts will be shut down from 11pm ET on Feb. 23 until 4am ET on Feb. 24.“During this time, you will not be able to log in or check in with your SkyMiles account,” Delta said....
