A new survey conducted by an independent UK-based consumer review site found that Ryanair had the most complaints caused by drunken passengers. The survey, conducted by Which? Travel, asked 7,900 readers to share their experiences from recent flights on a selection of top airlines in the United Kingdom. The survey specifically asked readers to report how many times, if at all, they had experienced an obnoxious and intoxicated passenger disrupt passengers on a flight....

For most of us, sleeping on a plane is a pretty routine part of being a frequent flyer. For one Air Canada passenger, however, what should have been a short nap turned into more of a nightmare.On June 9, AC1799, a flight from Quebec to Toronto landed, deplaned and was then parked at a remote part of the airport overnight. While that process is standard, it turned out that one passenger was still on board, sound asleep....

In another example of how the COVID-19 pandemic is forcing airlines to adapt in ways not seen before, Qantas will fly an extraordinary nonstop service from Australia to London aboard an Airbus A380. WOW Air is expanding aggressively on the US transatlantic market, offering travelers flights to Iceland and beyond from $99 one-way. On Tuesday, WOW announced it’s adding another airport to its growing list of US destinations — New York’s JFK, with fares from $99 one-way — and adding additional frequencies to its existing route out of Newark (EWR).[Update, 3/28/2019: WOW Air has ceased operations. Most retired passenger jets go to storage facilities in the high desert of the western U.S., never to fly again. Eventually, or right away in some cases, they get scrapped. Only the very few that find a buyer who wants a cheap secondhand jet ever take to the skies again.Even fewer — just a handful in the whole world — get to go on a new, adventurous life doing the coolest job an ex-airliner can have: they become flying engine testbeds....
