These flights were going for over $600 in coach, so I felt that using 50,000 miles and $50 in fees for a lie-flat business class roundtrip was a pretty good deal....

A lot of folks on this FlyerTalk thread have been reporting that large numbers of British Airways Executive Club accounts have been hacked and drained of their Avios balances.Has your BA Executive Club account been hacked?It appears that at least some of these incidents are British Airways preemptively zeroing out accounts in order to prevent a hack from doing so, and that members can expect their Avios balances to be reinstated once the security threat has been passed....

Both the introduction of the airline’s first premium product, Mint, and JetBlue placing an order for the extended-range version of the Airbus A321 only increased that speculation.Now, JetBlue is fueling rumors once again via a recently released internal video sent to the airline’s employees. If your 2019 travel plans include a trip to the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, there’s an important change you need to know about. Travelers must purchase a timed ticket for access to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and that pass is only valid for one hour.The new ticket system, which went into effect on Jan. 1, will require travelers to opt for a specific entry time (hourly from 6am to 2pm), and the tickets expire after one hour....

Last week we shared the unfortunate news that the Boston (BOS) - Dublin (DUB) sweet spot using Avios isn’t quite as attractive anymore. British Airways is following Aer Lingus’ new award chart and treating BOS-DUB as part of Zone 5, even though the mileage between the two cities should make it a Zone 4 redemption. This change raises the standard one-way redemption cost on this route by 7,500 Avios in economy and a whopping 22,500 Avios in business....

And now those flight cancellations are spilling into Thursday, as the Northeast digs out from the storm.As of 9:00am ET, FlightAware’s flight cancellation tracker has tallied 667 cancellations and another 573 flight delays....
