The cabin crew requests switching to airplane mode for safety reasons, but the fact that we don’t hear much about flight complications due to cell phone use leaves travelers skeptical on whether it’s really an issue. If safety wasn’t convincing enough for travelers, perhaps a hefty cell phone bill will be more of a deterrent....

View the current offers here.Great news for Qantas passengers flying from New York’s JFK: Qantas is switching terminals from JFK’s Oneworld-heavy Terminal 7 to the primarily-American Airlines Terminal 8. A Qantas spokesperson confirmed to The Points Guy that the move will occur on April 3, 2018.Currently, Qantas only operates a once-daily flight in and out of JFK — although it hopes to launch more flights to New York City if a new long-range aircraft is built....

This savings is worth anywhere from $30 up to $900 based on TPG’s most recent valuations and gets even higher if you book a 10-, 15- or 20-night stay. However, you probably won’t earn enough points as a Silver member to utilize this very frequently, so we’ll assume a conservative value at the low end of that spectrum. Unfortunately, this perk is the only way to gain access to the Executive Lounge as a Gold member at applicable properties, as you’d need to be upgraded to a room with lounge access to enter....

See privacy policy.In Japan, there’s a special word meant just for celebrating nature’s gorgeous display of pink and white cherry blossoms each spring — hanami, which translates to “flower viewing” and means enjoying the beauty of the cherry blossoms. I didn’t really get what all the fuss was about, but after experiencing the glory of the blossoms in full bloom, I now understand why there’s a word and why the Japanese hold special hanami parties under the trees....
