Following the news that British Airways would commence refurbishment of its Boeing 777 aircraft to install its highly anticipated new Club Suite comes details of its first dedicated route.Despite the aircraft previously operating to a range of destinations including Boston (BOS), Dubai (DXB) and Dallas (DFW), British Airways is reportedly dedicating the refurbished product to the following flights from Oct. 27, 2019:BA177 London Heathrow (LHR) 1:00pm Departure → New York (JFK) 5:10pm ArrivalBA174 New York (JFK) 7:50pm Departure → London Heathrow (LHR) 6:50am Arrival (+1 day)The seat map for these flights is showing the new 1-2-1 Club Suite in business class with direct aisle access and sliding doors, which should be a huge improvement to the current product....

Delta Air Lines and WestJet’s proposed joint venture has been approved by Canadian officials, a key step towards implementing the partnership.The Canadian Competition Bureau (CCB) will not challenge the tie-up, leaving US regulators the final big hurdle for the partnership, the carriers say in a joint statement today.CCB spokesperson Jayme Albert confirms that the bureau will not challenge the proposed joint venture, but adds that a challenge can be filed against the tie-up within a year of implementation....

An Ariana Afghan Airlines flight was delayed more than two hours after the pilot in command accidentally squawked a distress code indicating that the flight had been hijacked. The flight was scheduled to depart Delhi (DEL) at 2:30pm local time bound for Kandahar, Afghanistan (KDH). As the flight made its way to the runway, authorities were alerted to the departing flight squawking 7500, a code that indicates a flight has been hijacked, as it made its way to the runway, causing local authorities to spring into action....

Last year, Venmo, a popular peer-to-peer payment app launched its first debit card. This was great news for users who often pick-up bills or manage apartment finances as it allowed them to spend the money as soon as it hit their Venmo balance.
