Lufthansa is now making it easier to ship your goods between the US and Europe. With its new service, myAirCargo, those wishing to ship large items overseas can save money and avoid the middleman that’s often necessary to send things across the Atlantic. Lufthansa uses its cargo aircraft to make the shipments, and depending on the routing and the items involved, you can even get door-to-door service.MyAirCargo currently offers airport-to-airport service between Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles and New York City, while across the pond, you can find it in Frankfurt and Munich....

Two days after hotels and churches in Sri Lanka were targeted in a series of bombings that killed more than 300 people on Easter Sunday, officials in the capital city, Colombo, were warned to look out for vehicles carrying explosives on Tuesday.“All police stations in the Sri Lankan capital … have been advised to be on high alert for a truck and van suspected to be carrying explosives,” CNN reported Tuesday morning, citing a spokesperson for the Colombo police....

Virgin Atlantic, Air France, KLM and Delta Air Lines have officially launched their long-awaited joint venture. Over the past year, we have noticed that resort fees are getting out of control. Between “resort fees” at hotels that are decidedly not resorts (looking at you Best Western Disney Springs) and “destination fees” that add no added value (like close to 100 hotels in New York City), hotels are finding more and more creative ways to sneak in extra revenue. We’re even seeing resort fee charges levied per person instead of per room....

Around 6:30pm local time on Sunday, an Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet operating a domestic flight made a dramatic emergency landing in Moscow. Russian news agency Tass is reporting that the incident has resulted in 13 fatalities with additional injuries.Images and video of the landing show the narrow-body aircraft skidding down the runway with both wings engulfed in flames. No emergency crews can be seen on either side of the runway. Once the aircraft comes to a stop, passengers can be seen evacuating the aircraft via slide....
