What might surprise you, however, is that the week leading up to the holiday was the busiest ever at TSA checkpoints....

And while a premium unlimited membership costs $399 annually (additional options include a $99 Standard one-year membership — plus $27 per person, per entry — to Standard Plus, which gives you 10 free visits — then charges $27 for each additional entry — for $249 per year) there are several travel credit cards that offer Priority Pass lounge access as an included benefit....

As reported by AwardWallet, American Airlines AAdvantage members can now book Royal Air Maroc award tickets online. American Airlines started offering reciprocal mileage earning and redemption on Royal Air Maroc shortly after the airline joined the Oneworld alliance in April, but award tickets had to be booked over the phone.This change means that AAdvantage members can now skip the call center and book Royal Air Maroc award tickets from their computer....

Joon, the Air France subsidiary aimed at young people, may be going out of business soon. The new Canadian boss at Air France wants to close the airline after only one year.According to French newspaper Le Figaro, Benjamin Smith — who took over in August as chief executive of the Air France - KLM group and interim chief of Air France itself — has “decided to put an end” to the subsidiary, even as Joon opens new destinations in Europe and around the world....

View the current offers here.If you aren’t already aware, many credit card issuers charge ridiculous foreign transaction fees on every purchase you make on your credit card outside of the USA. In fact, you may even be charged this fee from within the US if the merchant processing the charge is based outside of the States. These fees - which generally range from 1-3% of your total purchases, can cost you dearly and completely negate the value of any miles or points you earn....
