AirAsia’s CEO is planning to open a fast food restaurant featuring the Malaysian airline’s onboard menu.“Our food is fantastic," said Tony Fernandes, Air Asia Group’s CEO, on Larry King Now last Friday. “We believe in it so much that we’re going to start a fast-food restaurant out of it. It’s called Santan.“Santan, which translates to ‘coconut milk’ in Malay, is the name AirAsia’s inflight menu. The food choices stem from data the airlines collected from around 400 million passengers, featuring a variety of dishes ranging from local favorites such as chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, spiral pasta with chicken sausage, Bukhara chicken biryani and plenty more....

Any experience with this? 90 days vs. 103 is a big difference.“This is actually true! Chase starts the clock at the time you get approved for that new card, but everyone knows you don’t actually get the card for the several days it takes Chase to actually create your account and mail it out to you, so the bank gives you a 13-day grace period on top of the advertised 90 days....

Scandinavian Airlines has taken delivery of the first of eight Airbus A350s it has on order. The new plane will start flying on Jan. 28, with Chicago as its first planned destination from Copenhagen.The airline said the new aircraft meant an improved experience for passengers.“Travelers can look forward to even more comfortable flights, including a cabin with new seat models and unique, customized SAS solutions. The new aircraft is composed of the latest aerodynamic design and technology meaning unrivaled levels of operational efficiency,” SAS said in a statement....

Air France says it will eliminate single-use plastic items from its flights, hopping on the green bandwagon with other airlines and hotel brands that have enacted their own environmentally-friendly practices in recent months.Air France says it has been making strides to be a greener airline since 2015, when it stopped supplying plastic drinking straws on board — according to a press release. Now, as a part of a new initiative (named #AFTakesCare) to further reduce its carbon footprint, Air France replaced a majority of its single-use plastic items with products made from bio-based materials on a flight from Paris to Detroit on June 5....
