At a presentation for United’s investors on Monday, the company shared a slide deck showing the carrier’s plan for the rollout of basic economy on transatlantic and Latin American routes. The deck also showed that it planned on releasing its new premium economy product in the fall....

Brussels Airlines will connect Washington D.C.., to its namesake hub year-round beginning this fall, increasing travel options to its African and European destinations.The Star Alliance carrier will resume seasonal service between Brussels (BRU) and Washington Dulles (IAD) with four weekly flight on Feb. 20, Brussels Airlines said Thursday. It suspended flights for the winter in October.Brussels Airlines operates Airbus A330-200 jets outfitted with 22 business class, 21 premium economy and 212 economy seats on the route....

Although Fremantle Prison held prisoners until 1991, most of the prison is now a World Heritage List site that serves as a museum. It’s no secret that the travel industry is hurting right now — from major hotel brands and airlines to small tour operators and rental property owners. The government did sign a $2.2 trillion stimulus package, billions of which go toward helping travel companies pay employees’ salaries.But in a statement to USA Today, the American Hotel and Lodging Association cited a limitation in to how these funds will help individual hotels. There is a provision that limits a Small Business Administration loan to 250% of the average monthly payroll, which according to the American Hotel and Lodging Association, “will not allow a business owner to meet both payroll and debt service obligations beyond an estimated four to eight weeks....
