It’s been more than two years since Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared — and to this day, very little information is known about the whereabouts of the aircraft and what exactly happened to it. Now, the three countries leading the investigation — China, Malaysia and Australia — have decided to suspend the search if nothing is found in the current search area.The three countries issued a statement noting the belief that the likelihood of finding the aircraft is fading fast, and that although some debris has been found, none of it has provided enough information to correctly identify the exact location of the aircraft....

Discounted award flights to/from the airports on this list had to be booked by July 31, and the list changed on August 1....

American Airlines is in the midst of a retrofit project that it’s calling “Project Oasis.” The goal is to retrofit its domestic Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A321 so they have the same seating configuration. But it hasn’t been a, well, oasis so far for the airline, between negative customer feedback and safety issues found in the retrofit work.American Airlines’ President Robert Isom said Tuesday morning at Wolfe Research Global Transportation Conference, AA has now put the Project Oasis retrofit project on hold on its Boeing 737s....

If you feel frustrated you can never find saver availability on American Airlines flights, we have some good news. Sadly, it’s not open award availability. Instead, AA is discounting its “AAnytime” business class awards for flights between the US and Europe for travel later this summer.On AA’s award chart, there are three stated pricing levels for business class awards between the US and Europe. Boeing and Icelandair have reached an agreement regarding the airline’s grounded Boeing 737 MAX planes. Boeing has agreed to pay the airline an undisclosed amount to help cover expenses the airline is incurring while the plane is grounded worldwide.Icelandair’s statement says the current grounding has cost the airline around $140 million so far. The agreement reached with Boeing will cover a “fraction” of that, according to the airline’s statement:As previously announced, the suspension of Icelandair’s Boeing 737-MAX aircraft has had negative financial effects on the Company…The Company has also previously announced that it has started discussions with Boeing regarding compensation for all the financial loss resulting from the suspension....

British Airways has shared renderings in a press release of planned upgrades to its flagship airport space in the USA — Terminal 7 at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport. Disney World rolled out some price changes today that affect some of the busier times of year. This is on the heels of a more comprehensive change Disney made in late 2018 regarding how tickets are priced. Today’s price increase will likely only impact you if you’re planning your next Disney World vacation during peak times.For example, single-day tickets for use between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve 2019 will now cost $159, up from $129 from this past December....

EasyJet’s famous for its bright orange and white livery. As of Tuesday, however, the airline’s going green in a major way.The second-biggest low-cost carrier in Europe after Ryanair announced on Tuesday it plans to be the world’s first major airline to operate net-zero carbon flights across its network.
