Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg has been removed from his role as chairman of the company after Boeing’s board of directors voted to separate the roles of CEO and chairman, the latest step in the ongoing saga of the 737 MAX that’s seen the plane grounded after two fatal crashes that claimed the lives of 346 passengers and crew.Muilenburg will remain on Boeing’s board of directors, while lead director David Calhoun will assume the role of nonexecutive chairman....

That’s what I did in July, when searching for a flight that would get my wife, Regan, and me to Croatia for a week’s vacation this Labor Day.I also wanted to earn Delta SkyMiles. Yellowstone is a popular tourist destination that’s usually ideal for families and groups of travelers alike. But this weekend, onlookers were horrified when a bison charged at a 9-year-old girl and tossed her several feet into the air.The Washington Post reported that approximately 50 people were standing within a 5- to 10-foot radius of the animal for at least 20 minutes, as well. The family-owned McLaughlin’s Daffodil Hill — a field known for its vast array of yellow and white flowers outside of Sacramento, California in Amador County — will be closing to the public indefinitely due to unanticipated influx of social-media-driven visitors. The Hill had been a tourist destination for the past 80 years.Visitors who came by to post on the ‘gram allegedly caused a severe overcrowding issue in the rural area. The partnership between World of Hyatt and the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, initially announced last August, has progressed quickly. We’ve seen three rounds of integrations (in November, January and February), opening up a plethora of new luxurious resorts at which you can earn and redeem your Hyatt points. This has included several properties in areas where Hyatt didn’t previously have a presence, and one that got a lot of attention is the Sailrock Resort in the Turks & Caicos....

The latest is through Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer program, which is offering a 30% discount on award travel in economy to Singapore from Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Houston (IAH). Typically these redemptions cost 70,000 KrisFlyer Miles round-trip (75,000 from Houston), but with the discounted rates it’s 49,000 KrisFlyer Miles from LAX and SFO, while flights from Houston are 52,500 round-trip — plus a hefty surcharge of approximately $500, which really hurts the value of these redemptions....
