It has been more than 29 days since the United States Federal Government partially shut down as a result of a lapse in funding. While the federal government has experienced its fair share of partial shutdowns, the current shutdown is by far the longest in history. With the shutdown approaching a month, those employed by the federal government are going on two pay cycles without receiving a paycheck. Now, some federal employees are unable to make ends meet or even provide themselves and their families with basic necessities....

In a new lawsuit filed in King County Superior Court, United Airlines has been accused of doing too little to protect a teen who was sexually assaulted by a fellow passenger in 2017.Vijaykumar Krishnappa pled guilty to the charge in 2018, and was sentenced to 90 days in federal prison. However, the airline is now being held responsible as well for its lukewarm response.The unnamed teenager was flying solo from Seattle to Newark on July 23, 2017, when Krishnappa began molesting her....

Virgin Atlantic detailed its succession plan for its current fleet of Airbus A330s on Monday during the first day of the Paris Air Show: It’s going to buy more A330s, but of a more advanced version that burns less fuel and has quieter engines.Using the event as a backdrop, Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss announced the carrier has placed a firm order for 14 Airbus A330-900neo aircraft with an options to take delivery of up to six more....

The world’s most frequent flyer was hoping to hit the 20-million-mile mark on a single airline before 2018 was through — as he shared on Instagram, Tom Stuker’s done just that, on United Flight 275 from Newark (EWR) to Los Angeles (LAX) Wednesday night, Nov. 7.I met Tom on one of his most memorable flights that counted toward this week’s milestone, on United’s final 747 flight one year ago. By that point, Tom had racked up more than 500 flights on the airline’s Queen of the Skies alone....
