Here’s a roundup of the week’s points, miles and travel industry news you may have missed:Delta now shows blackout dates for Korean Air award travel by region.Delta Fixes Korean Air Award Booking BugDelta’s done a bit of work on its website to fix a bug that previously blocked access to Korean Air awards when the airline had blackout dates in any region. Blackout dates are now location-specific, just as they are when booking through Korean, and you can now see the different dates depending on which region you’re searching....

View the current offers here.Update 10/7/16: These award rates are available for flights from Japan to the US as well:Later this month, Delta will begin service between Minneapolis-St.Paul (MSP) and Tokyo’s centrally located Haneda airport (HND). To celebrate the new route, the airline is offering discounted awards from many US cities to the Japanese capital. One-way flights start from just 25,000 SkyMiles (plus taxes and fees) for a Main Cabin seat, 35,000 for a Delta Comfort+ seat and 70,000 miles for Delta One....

Germany is set to introduce additional taxes on air travel from April 2020, in a push to encourage travelers to use trains rather than planes.The taxes will depend on the length of the flight and will be especially noticeable on short-haul flights, but long-haul passengers will feel the pinch too. The Bahamas Minister of Tourism and Aviation, Dionisio D’Aguilar, announced this past week that Royal Caribbean has rescinded its most recent travel advisory to passengers visiting Nassau, Bahamas. The travel advisory came in the form of a letter from captain of The Anthem of The Seas Sreck Ban. The letter urges the ship’s passengers to exercise increased caution when visiting the Bahamas, specifically Nassau, due to an increase in crime. After the letter made rounds on various websites and on social media, officials in the Bahamas quickly denounced the warning....

According to a Wall Street Journal report (that we’ve confirmed with the State Department), the federal government is currently working to implement a policy to revoke the international travel privileges of individuals who owe a certain amount of back taxes — WSJ reports this figure as $50,000 in unpaid federal taxes, although the State Department was unable to confirm....
