Just weeks after Delta announced that it was expanding its pre-select meal program to include all outbound and inbound Delta One routes, there’s more good news for domestic passengers traveling in the forward cabin.During the airline’s Investor Day this week in New York City, it briefly made mention of its pre-select meal program expanding to domestic first class in Q1 2019.No further details were shared on the program, but it is being reported that passengers will be able to select their meals ahead of departure via the web or Fly Delta app....

Delta passengers, be prepared for the airline to check your temperature if you’re flying out of Los Angeles (LAX) during the next few weeks.The carrier will begin conducting temperature checks on Tuesday (Aug. 11) as part of a three-week pilot program. Delta’s test expands a temperature-screening pilot that the airport itself began testing at its Tom Bradley International Terminal in late June.“As a part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the COVID-19 infection rate and provide additional layers of protection for our customers and employees, we are testing a temperature screening process for customers flying out of LAX Terminal 2,” Delta Air Lines said in a statement to TPG on Monday....

It also plans to operate its first US route this year, but that hasn’t happened yet. Garuda has made huge strides in recent years toward becoming a major international carrier, including updating its fleet, bringing its safety record up to international standards and joining the SkyTeam alliance....

The latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center pegs the storm as a Category 5 hurricane with 180 mph top sustained winds.
