Tickets go on sale today for the Star MegaDo 5 starting at 12:00 PM central time. MegaDo’s are events set up by frequent flyers and the airlines, where we charter a jet and fly around to different cities and the airlines/hotels set up really interesting events that provide access to places few people ever get to see. On past MegaDo’s I have gotten to use a United Airlines pilot training simulator, flown on one of United’s 787’s (pre-grounding!), had a Q&A with Jeff Smisek, visited the Boeing factory in Everett, Washington, and even gotten to participate in flight attendant training at the American Airlines flight attendant training facilities in Dallas. All the past events have sold out within hours (if not minutes), so if you are interested in going this time around, I’d definitely recommend buying your tickets sooner than later. Unfortunately due to scheduling, I won’t be able to join this trip, but I’m sure it will be a great time.Tickets go on sale today for the Star MegaDo 5What’s The Plan? This October is the fifth Star Alliance MegaDo and the itinerary will have us jetting around from Toronto to Tucson and on to San Francisco on an Air Canada A321 full of Star Alliance execs, bloggers and the frequentest of frequent flyers out there. What’s Included?Included in the MegaDo 5 package: 7 in-flight hours on the MegaDo charter including two flights, upgraded catering and free drinks, bus transportation at all locations per the program, all meals including three evening dinner receptions, hotel points and airline miles with a campaign attached and a ton of swag. The Ritz-Carlton Toronto. Here’s the schedule of events to whet your appetite:Tuesday October 22nd6:00 PM Welcome reception @ Ritz-Carlton TorontoSign up for our daily newsletterEmail addressSign upI would like to subscribe to The Points Guy newsletters and special email promotions.
